Rhode Island's Roomful of Blues has been the region's gold standard for horn-driven jump blues and swing since 1967. Five Grammy noms, seven Blues Music Awards, and Count Basie once called them the hottest blues band he'd ever heard. Their 2025 album Steppin' Out! adds vocalist DD Bastos—the first woman to record with the band.
