Caroline Brennan & Heather Swanson
Singer-songwriter Caroline Brennan and fiddler Heather Swanson are a Cape Cod duo rooted in Irish and folk tradition. Brennan brings her americana songwriting pedigree; Swanson, a classically trained violinist turned trad fiddler, keeps sessions at O'Shea's and beyond.
Cape Cod singer-songwriter Caroline Brennan and Boston-area classical violinist-turned-fiddler Heather Swanson team up for an Irish and folk-driven live set that draws on deep local roots. Brennan, whose late father was Irish musician Noel Henry, has released original americana and folk-pop recordings including her debut album "Leap" (2015) and EP "The Journey" (2023). Swanson, classically trained at BU and UMass Lowell and an active Cape teaching studio musician, crossed over to traditional Irish music and plays regular seisiúns at O'Shea's Old Inn in West Dennis. Together they've taken the stage at Cape Cod Beer, the Auld Triangle in Hyannis, and Sons of Erin in West Yarmouth, leaning into Irish tunes for celebrations and pub nights across the Cape.
