Four Sticks is a NYC-rooted Led Zeppelin tribute built on serious session-musician chops — four players, multiple instruments, deep cuts alongside the big hits, and enough improvisational fire to make the whole catalog breathe again. Fronted by Shannon Conley, a Robert Plant-range vocalist who toured the world with Lez Zeppelin, this is Zeppelin done right.
Four Sticks traces its roots to Greenwich Village in 1990, when drummer Tom Major — a Berklee College of Music alum who went on to record and tour with artists including Carly Simon, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Chuck Berry — launched a Monday-night Led Zeppelin residency at The Rock and Roll Cafe that ran to sold-out crowds for five straight years. After a lengthy hiatus, the band reformed and expanded its touring footprint, with guitarist Nunzio Signore (another Berklee veteran and longtime NYC session player) and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Humphris on bass, keyboards, and vocals rounding out the core. Lead vocalist Shannon Conley, who spent seven years fronting the internationally acclaimed all-female Zeppelin act Lez Zeppelin, brings formidable range and rock authority to the front of the stage. The quartet sticks to the four-member format of the original band — no extra players filling in — covering both radio staples and deeper album cuts, with room for the kind of live improvisation that defined Zeppelin's legendary concert reputation. They have performed on Cape Cod previously, including at the Mashpee Commons Bandstand.
