A Mashpee native with roots deep in the Cape Cod scene, Nikki Childs brings a voice that's earned her the nickname "Cape Cod's Angel." Now fronting her own band alongside her brother Eddie, she blends soulful takes on classic songs with original material for a night that feels both intimate and alive.
Nikki Childs grew up in Mashpee, Massachusetts, where music found her early — she was performing at family gatherings and giving informal voice lessons to neighborhood kids before she was a teenager. After honing her craft with solo gigs around Cape Cod, she stepped into a wider spotlight as the lead vocalist of Nikki & The Barn Boys, a Cape Cod-born band whose blues-inflected rock and funk built a following across the Cape, the Islands, and beyond. Since leaving the Barn Boys, Childs has stepped out as a solo bandleader, joining forces with her brother Eddie to front a new group that draws on soulful readings of classic songs alongside original material. The move has paid off: she has drawn wide recognition under the moniker "Cape Cod's Angel" and has advanced to recording and songwriting sessions in Los Angeles with producers connected to American Idol.
