First Congregational Church of Falmouth

Church

United Church of Christ congregation on Falmouth's Village Green with Sunday worship, adult choir, children's program, and community events.

The First Congregational Church of Falmouth is a United Church of Christ congregation located at 68 Main Street in Falmouth, on the Village Green. The congregation holds Sunday morning worship at 10:00 a.m., with services also available via live stream. The church is an Open and Affirming (ONA) congregation whose stated mission is to follow Jesus Christ by nurturing community, advocating justice, and loving all of creation.

Music plays a central role in worship life here. The adult choir — open to anyone in high school and beyond — rehearses Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again Sunday mornings from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. The choir sings every Sunday throughout the year, with the exception of July and August, performing traditional church anthems as well as newer compositions. Music Director and Organist John J. Dulina also performs piano at musical programs and concerts open to the community.

The church also offers programs including FCC Kids, a Clothing Project, care and connection ministry, and observances such as weddings, baptisms, and funerals. The steeple houses a bell cast by Paul Revere, originally placed in the church's fourth building in 1796; that bell continues to ring over Falmouth today.
