Illinois-born Andrew Heissler — a.k.a. Pokey LaFarge — hauls pre-war blues, western swing, and early jazz into the present with a sharp, road-worn wit. He busked his way to a deal with Jack White's Third Man Records and hasn't stopped since. Now settled on a Maine farm, he's practically a New England neighbor.
