Riptide
Female-fronted four-piece dance band born on Cape Cod in 2022, cranking classic rock covers from the '70s through today. With 70+ shows a year under their belts, Riptide keeps packed floors moving from Wellfleet to Wychmere.
Riptide formed in March 2022 when a crew of seasoned Cape Cod musicians — each carrying résumés that include national touring, recording projects, and a Boston Symphony Hall appearance — came together out of post-pandemic restlessness. The band is a female-fronted four-piece: drums, lead guitar, bass, and rhythm guitar, with a lead vocalist flanked by two additional male singers for broad harmonic range. Their set spans decades of classic rock and contemporary dance favorites, delivered in long, seamless sets calibrated so you can still hold a conversation. Guitarist Paul previously played with well-known Cape acts Syndicate and Left of Jupiter; the drummer logged touring time with Syndicate in Brazil. Playing upwards of 70 shows a year, they're fixtures at Cape Cod venues, weddings, and private parties, and venture to Boston and beyond for special events.
