The Art Ensemble of Cape Cod

Cape Cod's piano-bass-drums trio has been playing jazz standards and Cape-inspired originals since 2012. Pianist Wayne Naus—ex-Berklee faculty—leads, and their debut album Once Upon a Time on Cape Cod leans into local lore: Monomoy, Marconi, the Sagamore Bridge. They call it 'American Improvisational Music.' Fair enough.
