ROCK, CLASSIC ROCK

Watch Your Step

Orleans, MA

Watch Your Step is a four-piece youth rock band out of the Outer Cape, grown from the band program at Mark's Music in Orleans. Ages 9–16, they tackle Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, and the Rolling Stones with a surprising punch — already veterans of breweries, benefit shows, and Wellfleet Porchfest.

Watch Your Step formed through the band program at Mark's Music, the Orleans music school and store run by instructor Mark Filteau. The quartet — Allie Long (lead vocals, bass), Cam Long (guitar), Ben De La Vega (guitar), and Trent Burritt (drums) — ranges in age from 9 to 16, with members hailing from Orleans, Eastham, and Wellfleet. Their set list pulls from classic rock and alternative rock, covering acts like the White Stripes, Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, and the Rolling Stones. Despite their youth, they've racked up real-world gigs: breweries, private parties, and benefit concerts including the Outer Cape Music "Save the Music" show at Wellfleet Preservation Hall. They also appeared at Wellfleet Porchfest (June 2025), confirming their place on the Outer Cape live-music circuit.
