Jack's Restaurant & Bar on Gifford Street is a locally-owned Falmouth dinner spot built around elevated pub-style cooking and a genuinely warm room. Owner John "Jack" Sorgi brings more than 50 years in the restaurant business to every plate, and the menu covers a lot of ground — award-winning pizza, hand-pattied burgers, fresh seafood, pasta, and steaks, with handcrafted cocktails to match. The kitchen won first place for both Best Pizza and Best Burger in the Falmouth Enterprise "Best of Upper Cape" Local Choice Awards in 2022, which gives the classics here a little extra credibility.
What sets Jack's apart from a typical neighborhood bar-restaurant is a legitimate live music calendar running Tuesday through Friday. Regulars can catch Margie Hobbs and Charlie Taormina on Tuesdays, a piano bar with Eddie Scheer on Wednesdays, and Charlie Jamieson's jazz band on Fridays — all starting early enough for a dinner-and-music night out.
